Biographical history
Queen Elizabeth College, so called from 1953, succeeded the Home Science and Economics classes of King's College Women's Department and King's College for Women, which started in 1908; the Household and Social Science Department of King's College for Women, which opened in 1915; and King's College of Household and Social Science, which operated from 1928. The amalgamation of the College with King's College London and Chelsea College was completed in 1985.

Queen Elizabeth College
Queen Elizabeth College, so called from 1953, succeeded the Home Science and Economics classes of King's College Women's Department and King's College for Women, which started in 1908; the Household and Social Science Department of King's College for Women, which opened in 1915; and King's College of Household and Social Science, which operated from 1928. The amalgamation of the College with King's College London and Chelsea College was completed in 1985.
Records from Queen Elizabeth College were mainly transferred to King's in 1985.

This class notably contains printed and typescript lectures delivered by Professor Ronald Burge, Professor Arnold Bender, Neville Marsh and others on subjects including on nuclear chemistry, nutrition and experimental botany, 1964-1972; notices, programmes and tickets relating to lectures, 1934-1972 (Ref: Q/EPH/LEC); other programmes, tickets and invitations to Annual Dinner, degree presentations, carol services and other events, 1909-1986 (Ref: Q/EPH/PRG).
