In the early 1960s Dr Wolff appears to have gone to work in the USA, where he held posts at Johns Hopkins and in New York and Washington DC. His name disappears from the British Medical Directory and Medical Register in 1972, but was still in the index of the USA Medical Directory in 1979.

This item was given by Dr Wolff at that time of the Medical Research Department of the Wellcome Foundation, to Mr Moorat of the Wellcome Institute Library in 1961, with 'many thanks for all your help!' and transferred to the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre in 1980.
Papers of Frederick William George Wolff entilted, 'Research in medicine in North America. Some impressions of a study and lecture tour undertaken between March and June 1958.'
The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
Photocopies/photographs/microfilm are supplied for private research only at the Archivist's discretion. Please note that material may be unsuitable for copying on conservation grounds, and that photographs cannot be photocopied in any circumstances.
