          Records of the Worshipful Company of Brewers. The records were compiled from 1418, but they include title deeds dating from 1328/9. Records include charters; ordinances; Court minute books; Court and Livery lists; registers of freedom admissions; registers of apprentice bindings; financial accounts; papers relating to property including rent rolls; and papers relating to charities (other than those listed below).

          Records of Dame Alice Owen's Charity: The records include minutes, accounts, registers and estate papers. They are part of the archive of the Worshipful Company of Brewers (further information is given in the Company's introductory note). For further information see R A Dare, A History of Owen's School, 1613-1976, 1963. The records were catalogued by members of Guildhall Library staff.

          Records of John Baker's almshouses: These records are part of the archive of the Brewers' Company (further information is given in the Company's introductory note). They comprise: memoranda, 1881-9 (Ms 18360-1); deeds and associated documents, 1813-1901 (Ms 18363); specification for the construction of 7 almshouses, 1825 (Ms 18371); quarterly record of payments to almswomen, 1826-1908 (Ms 18372); list of applicants, 1901-2 (Ms 18373); and signed agreements and guarantees, 1826-61 (Ms 18374). Further references will be found in other Brewers' Company records such as minutes and accounts.

          Records of Richard Platt's charity: The records comprise statutes and ordinances, minutes and accounts, registers, estate records and plans.

          Title deeds of property in the City start from 1289, but apart from charities and estates records, most series date from the late 16th century: court minutes begin in 1592 while freedom admissions survive from 1593. Some series continue into the 20th century. Records include copies of charters and ordinances; Court minute books; Committee minute books and agendas; annual reports; livery lists; registers of members; registers of freedom admissions; papers relating to apprentice bindings; quarterage books; financial accounts; Clerk's papers including letter books; papers relating to property including rental books and maps and plans.

          Also records of Sir John Gresham's Charity: The records comprise constitutional documents, minutes, reports, correspondence, pupil lists and estate papers. They were catalogued by members of Guildhall Library staff. See also Ms 5855/2.

          Records of Saint Peter's Hospital: They comprise: lists of almspeople, ca. 1790-1840 (Ms 21543, pp. 19-21, 64-66); register of applicants, 1855-99 (Ms 21512); papers relating to administration and the conduct of the almspeople, 1629-1898 (Ms 07262); plans ca. 1850 (Ms 21539); and list of library books, 1897 (Ms 21513). Further references may be found in other Fishmongers' Company records such as minutes and accounts.

          Records of Harrietsham Almshouses: They comprise: accounts, 1652-1896 (Ms 05831, 05832-3, 06365, 07291); relief books, 1790-1909 (Ms 05831A); lists of almspeople, ca. 1790-1839 (Ms 21543, pp. 33-5); register of applicants, ca. 1855-68 (Ms 21512); correspondence and miscellaneous papers, 1666-1836 (Ms 05851, 07293, 08342). Further references may be found in other Fishmongers' Company records such as minutes and accounts.

          Records of Jesus Hospital: They comprise: copy of letters patent of James I and of William Goddard's will, rules and bye-laws, statutes, register of applicants, lists of almspeople, list of readers and chaplains, accounts, correspondence, plans and terriers of lands, and miscellaneous papers.           LMA/4662/LVNH/05 Licensed Victuallers Asylum, Peckham (1828-1960) papers relating to the Asylum in Old Kent Road, Camberwell. The series includes the petitions of individuals seeking residence in the Asylum (arranged alphabetically and these have been indexed by name); a registers of residents at the Asylum 1827-1960; papers relating to the Asylum Chapel from 1847; and a small series of photographs and prints including an album of photographs of the asylum chapel, memorial tablest and portraits of chairmen.

          LMA/4662/LVNH/06 Residential Homes: Denham Garden Village (1958-2001) includes an interesting series of pocket books giving information on the homes and a series of photographs mainly of the annual garden party held in Denham.

          LMA/4662/LVNH/07 Residential Homes: Edinburgh Estates (1960-1980) a series of photographs of other estates run by the LVNH.

          LMA/4662/LVNH/08 Publicity and Media (1877-2004) includes a set of press cutting scrap books from 1887-1957, publications and examples of souvenir programmes and magazines produced by LVNH, and a series of photographs of LVNH events including the change of keys ceremony and fundraising.

          LMA/4662/LVNH/09 Beer and Wine Benevolent Society (1834-1968) covering its foundation, Governance, finance until it merged with the LVNH in 1968. Also includes papers and plans about the asylum they ran, a 1954 annual report and a few photographs.

          Records of particular interest are the Leaver's Service programmes which provide a fairly comprehensive list of pupils who attended the school. Also of interest are the prize giving programmes which are also useful for researching pupils and school magazines which provide detailed information on school activities, events and other developments.
