Translations into English of charters, statutes, and resolutions relating to the University of Copenhagen from 1788-1837, entitled 'xxiv documents relating to the University of Copenhagen', and dated 11 Dec 1837. Includes the royal charter of 7 May 1788, and lists of lectures for 1835-1836, as well as material on the syllabus, examinations, the University's Polytechnic School (founded in 1829). The translations are followed by an appendix headed 'Remarks on the xxiv documents...', which serves as an introduction to the documents.
Both items are in the same hand, and their title-pages bear the stamp of the 'Translator To Her Brit. Maj. Mission. Copenhagen.' The title-page to the first item is bound at the end.
Inserted at the front of the volume is a [holograph?] letter dated 19 Apr 1838 from Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston, Foreign Secretary, sending the manuscript to William Cavendish, 2nd Earl of Burlington, and later the 7th Duke of Devonshire.

Papers relating to activities during disturbances of summer 1976, including comments on the disturbances by black, white and coloured individuals., accounts of incidents and papers by the Soweto Students' Representative Council, the South African Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR), the National Union of South African Students and the Union of Black Journalists.

The UCL College Archives are comprised of material charting the history of the university, from its establishment in 1826 to the present day. Most of the collection consists of material created in the day-to-day running of the institution and includes records such as foundation deeds and papers, committee minutes, administrative correspondence, department records and reports, early student society/association papers, staff and student files, building plans and maps, artwork and photographs.

Also included in this collection are records of the individual member synagogues; these comprise mainly membership records, but there are also administrative and financial records for some synagogues. Records of bodies connected with the United Synagogue to a greater or lesser extent are also included in this collection, such as the Office of the Chief Rabbi, London Beth Din and Beth Hamedrash, the Kashrut Commission and various Jewish friendly societies and charities. The United Synagogue's close links with Anglo-Jewish education are also represented in the collection, including records of individual schools such as the Jews' Free School. Records of the United Law Clerks' Society. The records reflect the activities of the society. Its minutes of meetings are almost complete between 1832 and 1979. The rules and annual reports demonstrate how the society adapted to the needs of its members and legislation changes. The statements of account summarise the more detailed transactions recorded in the account books of the various funds set up by the society. Valuation records necessitated by the passing of the Friendly Societies Act, 1875 show how the society calculated its benefits between 1880 and 1954. The records of annual festivals relate the extensive contacts maintained by the Bench, the Bar and the Solicitors with the society.

The collection mainly comprises of explanatory booklets for pension scheme members and associated publications such as annual reports which were used by UPS to produce Pension Scheme Profiles.

These are grouped by company (or in a few instances by pension scheme) and arranged alphabetically, following the arrangement of Pension Scheme Profiles. A file's scope and content lists which booklets and other publications are held for a company. The explanatory booklets often included update addendums, application forms or other inserts: these have only been noted if they are unusual. Occasionally a scheme's entry in Pension Scheme Profiles is held.
