Records of the Royal Hospitals of Bridewell and Bethlem. About three-quarters of the records are solely of Bridewell Royal Hospital and have been catalogued as Bridewell Royal Hospital; the other quarter are joint records of the Royal Hospitals of Bridewell and Bethlem and have been catalogued under that name. A few records are essentially of Bridewell but have some Bethlem subject content. The joint records are largely constitutional, court, accounts and joint estate records, with some clerk's correspondence relating to both hospitals.

The archive has been catalogued in one block, regardless of whether individual records are of Bridewell Royal Hospital only or of Bridewell and Bethlem jointly. Papers of the Middlesex Memorial to King Edward VII Trust, including the trust deed of the Children's Fund; minutes, correspondence and administrative files relating to the Memorial Fund; and papers relating to Collington Manor, including plans of the house, Committee reports, budgets, and files relating to supplies, builders, equipment, doctors, staffing, and superannuation.

The records in this collection relate to the Imperial Yeomanry School from 1904 to 3 March 1931 and to the subsequent Imperial Benevolent Fund for 4 August 1931-12 December 1934. They comprise administrative and financial records, including admission registers and log books. From the names in the admission registers it can be seen that boys had not been admitted by 4 September 1925. The addresses in the register show that although the school was in Middlesex, entrance was not limited to those who lived in Middlesex.

Records of the Saint Laurence Church of England School, Cowley, comprising registers of attendance; registers of school meals; register of infectious diseases; sales book of needlework made by pupils; and returns of the school meals service. The records in this collection date from 1932 when the school provided primary education. Two years of attendance and school meals registers have been retained as examples of the records produced by the school.

Papers of the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust. This collection consists of wide ranging material which documents the creation of Hampstead Garden Suburb and its growth and development during the twentieth century.

The records refer to the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust's activities; the family papers of Samuel and Henrietta Barnett; the suburb organisations; the suburb recreational socities; the Henrietta Barnett school; the Institute; and the Wellgarth Nursery Training College. There are printed sources and oral history sources which can be referred to.

This collection contains a significant number of plans: plans of the suburb; plans of licence applications for proposed alterations; area plans of the suburb; and RIBA photographs of Lutyens drawings for the church.

There is also a large collection of photographs. These include subjects related to the suburb as well as images of the suburb itself.

Records of the Commonwealth and Continental Church Society relating to administrative, fund-raising and other supporting activities in the United Kingdom, as well as the Society's work overseas. Most date from after the establishment of the united society in 1851, but from the earlier period one minute book of the Colonial Church Society survives, besides printed annual reports of both predecessor societies (see Mss 15673 and 15718). This catalogue covers these administrative records. The records of Anglican chaplaincies in Europe, administered by the Society on behalf of the Diocese of London, and (from 1842) also for the Diocese of Gibraltar, are catalogued separately.

The records comprise minutes, admission and attendance registers, log books and report books, records of payments to children, accounts, deed of trust and inspector's reports and deeds and estate papers. They have been catalogued by members of Guildhall Library staff at various dates.

Papers of the Aldgate Ward School, City of London. The records comprise committee minutes, financial accounts, attendance registers and guarantees, lists of benefactors, correspondence and deeds.

Papers of the City of London School of Instruction and Industry. The records include minutes, accounts, registers of pupils, reports, letter books and administrative papers.

Papers of the Coleman Street Ward Schools, comprising minutes, accounts, admission registers and log books, deeds and administrative papers.

Records specifically relating to the Cass School, managed by the Sir John Cass's Foundation, comprising minutes, accounts, pupil registers, hymn sheets and photographs.

Records of the St Botolph Aldgate Parochial School, later the Sir John Cass Junior School. The surviving records of the parish school begin in 1729 (Ms 31138). These include minutes, accounts, reports, correspondence, admission registers and title deeds. Separate pupil records exist from 1896 only.

Records of the Billingsgate Ward School, comprising subscribers' minute books; trustees' minute books and treasurers' journals.

Records of the Billingsgate and Tower Wards Schools. Tower Ward School records only survive from 1836. The records comprise attendance registers and log books, minutes, estate papers and accounts.

Records of the Bridge, Candlewick and Dowgate Wards Schools, comprising subscribers annual general meetings minute book; and lease and asbstract of title of the schoolhouse, 13 Swan Lane.

The records of Broad Street Ward School include minutes, subscription books, accounts, correspondence, admission registers and attendance books, reports, copies of hymns and deeds.
