      Records of Peal and Company, bootmakers, 1811-1964. The collection consists of 660 items, 40 of which are administrative records such as account books and ledgers. The remaining 620 volumes are 'Feet Books' recording each order and usually containing an outline drawing of the customer's feet. Every book includes 150 orders and was given a running number. The earliest surviving book is no. 23 from the 1870s and the last is no. 1002 from shortly before the firm closed in 1965.

      This collection contains two plans drawn by Samuel Robinson relating to Saint Dunstan and All Saints' Church, Stepney and West Ham Abbey, West Ham. Both give detailed depictions and descriptions of the buildings and landscape features in their immediate area.

      The West Ham Abbey plan (LMA/4458/01/002) gives very detailed views and notes of garden furniture and planting schemes in the adjacent Spring Gardens. For example the plan refers to: 'a square piece fenc'd with reeds wherein cucumbers are nurished' and 'Beds of tulips, pinks and carnations, French marigolds and sweet williams and other flowers. There are several plots of cabbages and colewerts, carrots and parsnips among the trees'.

The minutes and agendas in LMA/4462/H/01/002 include fundraising projects such as a fun walk, funds for medical expenses for a young man from Yemen, the Walter Rodney Memorial speech by Manning Marable, 17/01/1986 minutes discuss the setting up of a constitution for Friends of Bogle. Setting up of the suplementary school, launch of the record 'Come From That Window Child' (19/07/1986 minutes), Setting up of the Saturday school at Ealing Technical College (31/10/1986).

      The 'Walter Rodney Visions of Africa 1986' lecture was given by 'Ama Ata Aidoo. Contributors to the event included Mendy Joseph, Keith Waithe, Accabre Huntley, Alan Cooper, Eintou Springer and Margret and Sheila Thomas (LMA/4462/F/02/017).
