Photographic material accumulated by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI), relating both to the history of the AAGBI and to the wider history of anaesthesia and associated subjects from 1774 to 1997, largely comprising prints and slides, both colour and black and white, some undated, including some copies. The photographs include a series of portraits of the AAGBI Council, members of staff, and the AAGBI Group of Anaesthetists in Training (GAT) Council, and a large series of photographs used in the AAGBI publication Anaesthesia News. Society of Public Notaries of London records comprise rules of the Society, minutes, some accounts, and extensive correspondence, especially on laws affecting the profession, qualifications required, attempts by solicitors and other professions to encroach on notaries' area of expertise.

Access to records less than 30 years old should be sought from the London Investment Banking Association (contact details may be obtained from a member of staff). The Association retains its more recent records. No other records are known to exist.

Records of the London Chamber of Commerce including records of constitution, membership, administration, finances and so on; records of sections and committees relating to places, arranged alphabetically by place; records of sections and committees relating to subjects, arranged alphabetically by subject of substance. Included in this category are 'General' and 'Special' minute books which contain minutes of sections and committees relating to both places and subjects. Ask a member of staff for an index of the sections and committees whose minutes are contained in the 'General' and 'Special' minute books.

Minute books of the London Continental Fire Insurance Committee.

The surviving records of the Printers and Theatres Rating Committee (Southern Committee) are incomplete. They mostly concern the rating of individual risks. As a result, they contain much information about particular theatres, music halls, cinemas, film production studios, publishers, printers and allied trades (including papermakers), and associated processes and products. Some of the records are indexed by name and/or place. The whereabouts of the records of the Northern and Scottish Rating Committees is unknown.

Minute book of the Trading with the Enemy Joint Insurance Committee, 1939-1941.

Records of the Baltic Exchange (1821-1994); the London Shipping Exchange (1892-1903), which was purchased by the Baltic Exchange; and the Jerusalem Coffee House (1757-1833), which was purchased by the London Shipping Exchange. The records include minutes, agendas, financial accounts, letter books and correspondence, administrative papers, membership records, shipping papers and records of the Airbrokers Association, 1947-1976 and the Institute of Shipbrokers, 1917-1987.

Minutes of the British Overseas and Commonwealth Banks Association.

Volumes of minutes containing annual alphabetical indexes of ophthalmologists who joined the Association of British Ophthalmologists, together with subject indexes.

Constitution, council and other minutes, reports and other papers of British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine (BIMM) and of one of its two predecessor organisations, the British Association of Manipulative Medicine (BAMM), 1987-2000. In addition to the official papers there is much correspondence and other documentation created by or sent to Malcolm Morrison, who was active in both bodies and eventually became President of BIMM. The latter material contains a large amount of information on medical education, including draft syllabi.

BAMM and subsequently BIMM served as the British representative bodies within the Fédération International de Médecine Manuelle (FIMM); the collection includes some material on FIMM meetings and some discussion of the body's future.

There is also a very little information on activities of the British League Against Rheumatism (BLAR).

The pre-merger history of the Institute of Orthopaedic Medicine (IoM) is not represented.

Papers of the British Society for the Study of Orthodontics comprising minutes of Council and of ordinary and general meetings, 1907-1985; country meetings programmes, 1961-1975; Transactions, 1908-1911, 1948-1971; a few committee reports, 1920s, 1940s; and two histories of the Society reprinted from the British Dental Journal, published 1968 and 1981.

Papers of the Jungian Umbrella Group including editorial correspondence relating to the Umbrella Group Newsletter; copies of Newsletters 1-10 (no. 4 is missing, and there is editorial correspondence for a no. 11, not received); and a file on the proposals for a C. G. Jung Centre in London.

Records relating to Juby's career comprise typescript lease of premises at no 34 Devonshire Street, St Marylebone, London, to Arthur Charles King, 1926; typescript financial accounts of A Charles King Ltd, 1942, 1946; printed catalogue with illustrations of anaesthetic apparatus produced by A Charles King Ltd, undated [mid-20th century]; typescript copy letter from I W Magill to the Editor of The Lancet, 1942, concerning A Charles King's inquiry in 1932 for rotameters for gas and oxygen rather than anaesthetic flowmeters then in use, and their subsequent adoption; records relating to patent specifications, including photographs of apparatus, for Juby's work for A Charles King and subsequently for the British Oxygen Company Ltd, for improvements in retaining devices for anaesthetic mouthpieces, 1929, a portable stand for gas cylinders, 1929, an instrument for introducing intra-tracheal catheters, 1929, improvements in endotracheal tubes, 1953, improvements in cuffed catheters, 1955, improvements in gas-administering apparatus, 1956, connectors for endotracheal tubes, 1959, and means for producing a spray of gas-entrained liquid, 1960.
