          Photographic material accumulated by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI), relating both to the history of the AAGBI and to the wider history of anaesthesia and associated subjects from 1774 to 1997, largely comprising prints and slides, both colour and black and white, some undated, including some copies. The photographs include a series of portraits of the AAGBI Council, members of staff, and the AAGBI Group of Anaesthetists in Training (GAT) Council, and a large series of photographs used in the AAGBI publication Anaesthesia News.           The surviving records of the Printers and Theatres Rating Committee (Southern Committee) are incomplete. They mostly concern the rating of individual risks. As a result, they contain much information about particular theatres, music halls, cinemas, film production studios, publishers, printers and allied trades (including papermakers), and associated processes and products. Some of the records are indexed by name and/or place. The whereabouts of the records of the Northern and Scottish Rating Committees is unknown.

          Constitution, council and other minutes, reports and other papers of British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine (BIMM) and of one of its two predecessor organisations, the British Association of Manipulative Medicine (BAMM), 1987-2000. In addition to the official papers there is much correspondence and other documentation created by or sent to Malcolm Morrison, who was active in both bodies and eventually became President of BIMM. The latter material contains a large amount of information on medical education, including draft syllabi.

          BAMM and subsequently BIMM served as the British representative bodies within the Fédération International de Médecine Manuelle (FIMM); the collection includes some material on FIMM meetings and some discussion of the body's future.

          There is also a very little information on activities of the British League Against Rheumatism (BLAR).

          The pre-merger history of the Institute of Orthopaedic Medicine (IoM) is not represented.
