This archive relates mainly to the management of the coffee, coconut and cinnamon estates of A. S. Daniell and his son S. W. Daniell in Ceylon [now Sri Lanka]. The estates were called Gomera Tennai, New Gomera, Olooambelam, Imbulgaswaddie and Katooloya Tennei. The archive consists mainly of returns and reports from the local managers, Darley Butler and Company of Colombo, Ceylon, and of correspondence, accounts and legal papers. It also includes some family papers, comprising copies of wills and marriage settlements, accounts, bills and receipts, and a letter.
