Although the collection does not include Godber's official papers from his various appointments or his personal papers, it nevertheless conveys a strong impression of his personality, energy and breadth of interests throughout his career. The records of the King's College London Institute of Psychiatry Camberwell Register comprise record and index cards of psychiatric patients, data collection parameters and instruction literature, and related notes and correspondence, [1965-1985]. Half the collection in volume terms consists of record cards of patients containing personal information, dates and details of admission, diagnosis and treatment, with some background comments (boxes 1-31). These are arranged in a numerical sequence that correlates roughly to the date upon which a new patient entered the study. The vast majority of these date from the 1970s. An alphabetical index card system and index book are available to trace the names of individual patients (boxes 32-43). Issues of the Invalids Magazine Album. This fascinating set of 'scrap albums' are the survivors of a set that was seemingly created over a period of 10 years or more from the beginning of the 1900's to the start of the First World War. It is difficult to do these albums justice in describing them, as they are a treasure trove of charm and innocence. They not only contain articles handwritten by the contributors, but occasional newspaper cuttings and photographs of domestic scenes, landscapes, foreign holidays, and watercolour paintings of flowers, landscapes and 'designs'.

The earliest volumes contain simple stories in melodramatic style, and exhortations by the editors to send in contributions on time. As the contributors grow up we can see the paintings improve, the stories and articles become more considered and the photographs become art rather than snapshots. The later volumes contain articles about the war which had just been declared, photographs of recruitment and a list of some dozen members of the I.M.A. who were then 'in uniform'. As an editorial note put it "...the most terrible war of all times has swooped down down upon us...".

Papers of Sir William Wilson Jameson, 1927-1967, relate to Jameson's appointment as Professor of Public Health at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the composition of 'Life of Wilson Jameson' written by Dr N M Goodman. The collection comprises correspondence and papers relating to Jameson's appointment and work at the School, notably including a letter from H Kenwood advising Jameson and encouraging him to apply for the post of Professor of Public Health, offering his support, 1927, and Jameson's application form for the post, 1928. The collection also includes correspondence between Dr N M Goodman and Professor Delafield regarding Goodman's 'Life of Wilson Jameson', 1967 and a letter from M A Baatz, Academic Registrar, University of London to Dr Goodman regarding appointment of Jameson as Professor, 1967.
